Are your cables made in Australia?

Yes, all Techni Cable, cable assemblies are manufactured right here in Perth, Western Australia.  With high quality German engineered LAPP cable, supplied from LAPP Australia.

What is a custom M12 cable?

Techni Cable can manufacture your M12 cables to order, so that you have the exact cable length for your job and the nut material suitable for your application.

What cable lengths can I order?

Techni Cable can make custom cables from .3 of a metre to 60 metres in .1 metre increments.

What nut choices do I have for my cable?

Techni Cable can supply nickel plated brass nuts or 316 stainless steel nuts.

What is a Y splitter used for?

Y splitters are used for sensor applications where one cable is joined to two sensors. The connections are encapsulated in plastic for protection, individual cable lengths can be chosen to avoid extra joins in the circuit.

What voltage are cables manufactured by Techni Cable rated to?

Techni Cable manufactures cables for direct current applications up to 60 volts. Please refer to LAPP cable data sheets for further information on cable specification.

What is the quality of the cable used in a Techni Cable cable assembly?

Techni Cable exclusively uses LAPP cable in our cable assemblies. Most of our cable assemblies have an PUR or Polyurethane outer sheath with superior physical properties to that of even the toughest thermosetting rubber. Being thermoplastic makes it recyclable unlike the typical thermosetting rubber equivalent cables. For more info please refer to LAPP data sheets.

What plastic is used to over mould Techni Cable connectors and Y splitters?

Techni Cable uses a Henkel Technomelt PA6481 (e) thermoplastic with improved UV stability and a temperature rating of -40 to 130 degrees Celsius.

Are your terminals gold plated?

Yes we use nickel terminals that are gold plated with a thickness of 10 microns of gold.
